Introduction to Reiki

Finally, our Reiki shares are back! It's been nearly a year since the last one!

The next Reiki share is at 7pm on July 10th in the Boric Room, Friends Meeting House, 173 Euston Road, London NW1 2BJ.

This is an opportunity for anyone interested in healing to practice or experience Reiki. So, whether you are a practitioner or just interested feel free to come along..

Please let me know if you wish to come along so I have an idea of numbers.
Depending on the ratio of practitioners and non practitioners the general agenda will be:

Introducing Reiki
Traditional Japanese Reiki energy exercises
Gassho meditation
Reiju empowerment
Pair up for Reiki practice
Group distant healing
Closing meditation

We'll finish at approximately 9.00pm

What are Reiki and Energy therapies?
Energy therapy is a natural ability that we all have to a certain extent. Can you remember a time when you had a stomach pain, and the act of laying your hands on the area of discomfort seemed to ease it, or the act of doing that on your child seemed to calm and ease the pain? What we may not all be aware of is the fact that the same or similar effects can be had without physical touch! How can this be? Well, it is now apparent to modern science that we are not just physical bodies, but are surrounded by an energy field, some of which is within us, some ouside of us. This field or aura is effected when we are out of balance, physically, mentally or emotionally. A fact that has been known for centuries by some of the more ancient civilisations of our planet (science really does have some catching up to do!). So, an energy healer aims to rebalance or energise this field by placing his/her hands on or near the body and so help the person back to health.
