What are Reiki and Energy
therapies?
Energy therapy is a natural ability
that we all have to a certain extent. Can you remember a time
when you had a stomach pain, and the act of laying your hands
on the area of discomfort seemed to ease it, or the act of doing
that on your child seemed to calm and ease the pain? What we may
not all be aware of is the fact that the same or similar effects
can be had without physical touch! How can this
be? Well, it is now apparent to modern science that we are not
just physical bodies, but are surrounded by an energy field, some
of which is within us, some ouside of us. This field or aura is
effected when we are out of balance, physically, mentally or emotionally.
A fact that has been known for centuries by some of the more ancient
civilisations of our planet (science really does have some catching
up to do!). So, an energy healer aims to rebalance or energise
this field by placing his/her hands on or near the body and so
help the person back to health.
